The Florida Water Ski Federation (FWSF) is a Florida Not For Profit Corporation which was formed to promote and coordinate the sport of water skiing in the State of Florida.

The Indiana Water Ski Association represents organized water skiing throughout the state of Indiana. Its purpose is to promote organized water skiing and encourage water safety while cooperating with members of the local civic groups and working through state and local government.

The Kentucky Waterski Federation is an organization of waterskiers and their families, dedicated to the growth and development of the sport of Slalom, Trick and Jump Waterskiing. The main objective of the Federation is to create and maintain a healthy, competitive, and fun tournament skiing atmosphere for all age groups, and skill level waterskiers. The Federation holds two normal meeting per year. The first meeting is held at the Kentucky State Championships in July, and the second is the fall meeting in November. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

The Michigan Water Ski Association is an USA Water Ski Association affiliated organization that is dedicated to promoting, supporting, and educating all organized disciplines in the sport of water skiing in the State of Michigan. MWSA is constantly finding new ways to accomplish these goals whether it be in holding a "learn to" clinic, sponsoring specific events, or educating the many officials needed to run local tournaments. All in all, MWSA is here to stand behind all towed water sports in Michigan.

The Minnesota Water Ski Association (MWSA) was organized in 1960 to encourage and promote organized and competitive water skiing in Minnesota. Membership is open to anyone living in Minnesota and the surrounding states who is a member of the American Water Ski Association (AWSA), the competition branch of the national organizing body, USAWater Ski.

The purpose of the Missouri Water Ski Federation is to promote the sport of water skiing (slalom, trick and jump), water safety, good sportsmanship, to oppose legislation that is adverse to skiers and boat owners, to develop a fraternal spirit between club members, to be a source of information and to assist in things which tend to further the interests of the people of Missouri in water skiing. The MWSF fulfills its purpose by holding regular meetings of the Board of Directors, an annual Membership meeting and by assisting with the planning of both skier and official's clinics and tournaments.

The purpose of the North Carolina Water Ski Association is to promote water skiing throughout the state of North Carolina by helping to organize ski clubs, sponsor or co-sponsor AWSA tournaments and also to work with all organizations connected with water sports to promote water safety throughout the state. The corporation will keep its members informed of AWSA water skiing activities in North Carolina through newsletters published on a regular basis. It is established as a nonprofit organization.

Providing a central agency for tournament scheduling in coordination with the state councilperson; Acting as an advisory and/or controlling body for tournament rules; Assisting and regulating procurement of tournament equipment and officials; Offering education, equipment, and assistance to local groups planning water ski tournaments and/or educational clinics; Encourage new participants in the sport of water skiing; Encourage the passage of laws and regulations which allow a proper place for water skiing in the use of public and private waterways in the state; Encourage and assist in the procurement and development of new water ski sites and the preservation of existing ones.

The Oklahoma Water Ski Federation (OWSF) is an organization which promotes the sport of competition water skiing in Oklahoma. Benefits include performances recorded, seeding for Oklahoma State Championships, newsletters, National Ski League (NSL) affiliation and information on regional and national water skiing activities. Membership dues are $15 individual and $20 family per calendar year. You must be an OWSF member to receive awards at the State Championships. The purpose of the South Carolina Water Ski Federation is to promote the sport of water skiing in the State of South Carolina; to act as the State Representatives of the American Water Ski Association (AWSA) and USA Water Ski; to sponsor the SCWSF State Championships each year; and to maintain the South Carolina Water Ski Federation records.

It is the sole national sport governing body and recognized water skiing / wakeboard authority in Canada. It is affiliated with the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) and World Wakeboard Association (WWA). The national office is located in Ottawa, Ontario.
